Inspect and price the actual scope
EPA says routine duct cleaning has not been shown to prevent health problems. It may be considered for substantial visible mold documented inside hard-surface ducts or HVAC components, vermin inside the ductwork, or excessive debris released from registers. Ask for evidence and an itemized quote.
A qualifying single-zone whole-home cleaning starts at $312; that is not a quote for multiple systems, pest control, mold remediation, or repairs. Moisture correction, duct repair, and any antimicrobial treatment are separate scopes. EPA says HVAC products must be specifically labeled for that use.
